The Taiwanese tech giant HTC never settles when it comes to good quality smartphones. Recently we got the news for HTC One M9 and now we are about to witness a mid-level smartphone from the tech giant. The newest addition to the HTC mid-level smartphones will be the HTC Desire 620. It will be a successor to the Desire 610. The Desire 620 will be launched in two versions, one with the Snapdragon chipset and the other with the Mediatek chipset. The Mediatek chipset will be cheaper in price as compared to that of the Snapdragon one. The phone with the Snapdragon chipset will be known by Desire 620 whereas the other one will be known by Desire 620G. The Snapdragon chipset is a 64bit processor.
Specs of the Phone:
• Processor: 1.2 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (Desire 620) or 1.3 GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6592 (Desire 620G)
• Display: 5 inch; 720 x 1280 pixels
• Camera: 8MP Rear, 5MP Front
• RAM: 1GB
• Internal Storage: 8GB (expandable to 128GB for Snapdragon; 32GB for Mediatek)
• Android v4.4 Kitkat (both 620 and 620G)
• HTC Sense 6 UI
• Battery: 2100mAh
The 8MP Rear Camera will be able to take HD videos of 1080p resolution and it has the Eye Experience like the one on HTC Desire Eye. The Snapdragon version will support LTE connectivity while the Mediatek is limited to WCDMA. Both the phones will be launched on December 1 this year in Taiwan. But still the company hasn’t said anything about the international availability. Now coming to the cost of these handsets, the Snapdragon (Desire 620) will be launched with a price tag of $225. The Mediatek (Desire 620G0 )version will be launched with price of $160. With these prices around, the phone may get the hype that HTC expects. It will provide tough competitions to the mid-level phones from various manufacturers.
